This Privacy Policy explains how PreTech Park ("PreTech Park", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit pretechpark.com (the "Site"), contact us, or engage us for design, development, or related services (the "Services").

1. Who we are

PreTech Park is a Shopify app and theme studio based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, PreTech Park is the "data controller" of the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us any time at support@pretechpark.com.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy covers the PreTech Park website and our business relationship with visitors, prospective clients, and clients. Our published applications have their own privacy policies that govern data processed inside those products — for example, the PreFit Pro Privacy Policy. If you install or use one of our apps, the app-specific policy applies to that use, in addition to this one where relevant.

The Site is hosted on Shopify. When you interact with the Site, Shopify also processes certain data as our platform provider (see Section 7).

3. Information we collect

a) Information you give us

  • Contact and project-inquiry details submitted through our forms (for example, on the Contact and Start a Project pages): your name, email address, store or website URL, budget and timeline indications, the services you are interested in, and the contents of your message.
  • Correspondence and records of your communications with us (email, messages, call notes, and any files or materials you send us in connection with a project).
  • Where you engage us, business and billing details needed to deliver and invoice the Services.

b) Information we collect automatically

  • Standard technical and usage data generated when you browse the Site — such as IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and timestamps — collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).

c) Information from third parties

  • Limited data from our service providers (for example, Shopify's built-in analytics, or our email and analytics tools) that helps us operate and improve the Site.

We do not knowingly collect special categories of sensitive personal data through the Site, and we ask that you do not send us such data.

4. How we use your information and our legal bases

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiries, prepare proposals, and communicate with you (to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries);
  • provide, manage, and invoice the Services (performance of a contract);
  • operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site (legitimate interests);
  • send you service-related or, where you have opted in, occasional updates about our work (consent or legitimate interests, as applicable — you can opt out at any time);
  • comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing already carried out.

5. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for it to function (served by Shopify) and, where enabled, analytics cookies that help us understand how the Site is used. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and where required we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. Because the Site runs on Shopify, some cookies are set by Shopify to operate the store; see Shopify's own privacy and cookie information for details.

6. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business, with:

  • Service providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards — for example, our hosting/platform provider (Shopify), email and communication tools, analytics providers, and payment processors.
  • Professional advisers (such as accountants or legal advisers) where necessary.
  • Authorities or third parties where required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PreTech Park, our clients, or the public.

If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

7. Shopify and payments

Our Site and store are provided through Shopify, which acts as our platform provider and a processor of data collected via the Site. Where you pay us for Services, payment may be processed through Shopify or another third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details; those are handled by the payment processor under its own terms and security standards.

8. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above: enquiry and correspondence data for as long as reasonably necessary to respond and for a limited period afterwards; client and billing records for as long as we provide Services and thereafter as required by law (for example, tax and accounting rules). When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

9. International data transfers

We operate from Bangladesh and use service providers that may process data in other countries. Where personal data of individuals in the EEA or the United Kingdom is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses) where required by law.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR/UK GDPR in the EEA/UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@pretechpark.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

11. Security

We take commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and restricting access to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to address any incidents appropriately.

12. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites and services (such as the Shopify App Store or social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties; we encourage you to review their policies.

13. Children's privacy

The Site and Services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the Site is not directed to them.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice through the Site or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
